ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Public School District and the Urban League of Greater Metropolitan St. Louis are hosting a first-dose vaccination clinic on Saturday for the district’s students and families. The clinic will be at Vashon High School, 3035 Cass Avenue, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Doors open at 8 a.m.
There is no need to register for the clinic in advance.
Partners at Visionary Vaccination & Health Services will provide first doses of the Pfizer vaccines to children ages 5-17; parents must be with the children to sign permission forms.
Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson will also be available to those 18 and up.
Officials from the city’s Department of Health will be at the clinic, giving $100 gift cards to city residents receiving their first dose of the vaccine. The cards will be available while supplies last, so getting to the event promptly may be a good idea.
Light refreshments will be served.
The clinic at Vashon was added after SLPS got a large number of requests for vaccinations for children ages 5-11. Extra vaccine doses are being brought in, and the clinic workers will do their best to accommodate all who show up.
